The name Van Mahotsava means ‘the festival of trees’. Van Mahotsav was initiated in 1950 to celebrate the importance of growing and saving forests and to create awareness about the bad effects of deforestation, Van Mahotsav week is celebrated from 1st July to 7th July to spread awareness of forest conservation and to save the environment. It is celebrated as a festival of life. In India it was started as a crusade to save mother earth. In the times of pandemic, Van Mahotsav not only becomes the celebration of mother nature but also an observance to avoid the loss of human live .

Don’t destroy the world for your needs and plant more saplings every day and help save world from global warming and other elements which is destroying the weather, nature. School of Symbiosis celebrated Van Mahotsav on 3rd July 2021. All PE teachers of Ponda taluka, Green Army and Bharat Scouts and Guides Association of Ponda district have attended the celebration. Inspiring speeches were given by Chairman and MLA of Shiroda constituency Sir Subhash Shirodkar, Head masters and teachers. Students have attended the celebration virtually.
